The Mass: At a recent meeting of university chaplains and campus ministers, Bishop Crosby asked that students be introduced to church documents and diocesan norms regarding the celebration of Mass. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that the Eucharist is the Source and Summit of Christian Life. It follows that the Mass too should hold a place of primacy within the heart of each Christian. Our retreat will strive to unpack how to understand the Liturgy of the Mass in order to participate more fully in the sacred mysteries of the Mass. This year’s winter retreat will consist of online talks and in-person opportunities to celebrate Mass in Latin and in English at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph.
